New chemistry database: Reaxys

University of Utrecht researchers and students may now access the rich chemical substance and reaction information in the Beilstein, Gmelin and Patent Chemistry databases via a new web based search interface — Reaxys.
Reaxys contains an extensive repository of experimentally validated data including structures, reactions (including multi-step reactions) and physical properties.

Especially noteworthy is the Reaxys’ Synthesis Planner, which integrates reactions and substances, and provides literature search results, within one interface. This feature can help users develop better search synthesis strategies.

On http://www.info.reaxys.com/ you can find information about Reaxys.

Note: Utrecht University Library has 2 seats to SciFinder. Access to Reaxys is unlimited. Thus users’ can now choose to turn to Reaxys to supplement their needs when all SciFinder Scholar’s seats are occupied.
UU faculty, staff, and students in biochemistry, chemistry, life sciences, medicine, medicinal chemistry, pharmacy, and other related disciplines, will find Reaxys to be a valuable information resource.
